Elliott, John Elliott (Nancy), Leroy Elliott (Louise), and Everett Elliott (Kaye) all of Lexington four sisters, Eva Everhart of Lexington, Nancy Wargo of Lexington, Margie Church of SC, and Doris Morrison (Wayne) of Lexington six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. We will build on strong momentum to attract new businesses, help local firms grow, promote our agricultural industry, and strengthen our economy to make it work for everyone. Left to cherish her memory are her loving husband, Dennis Dee Burnette two sons, Danny Burnette, and Jerry Burnette both of Lexington a daughter, Tammy Cornell of Lexington four brothers, P.W. By working together we can make our city a place where citizens of all ages have opportunities to work, grow and thrive. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, George Elliott and Gene Elliott two sisters, Ruth Byerly, and Mary Bost and a daughter-in-law, Diann Burnette. Burnette was a loving wife, mother, sister, and grandmother whose memory will be cherished forevermore. She was a waitress at Southern Lunch for 38 years and made many friends during her time there. Burnette was born on April 10, 1941, in Rowan County to Samuel Alexander Elliott and Evelyn Elizabeth Almon Elliott. The family will receive friends from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm Thursday at Davidson Funeral Home in Lexington. ![]() Burial will follow at Forest Hill Memorial Park. Elsie Bernice Elliott Burnette, 80, of Lowell Street in Lexington, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, September 6, 2021, at her home.Ī funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, September 10, 2021, at Friendship United Methodist Church with the Rev. ![]()
